Job Summary: The Material Handler must have excellent attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and vision, good math skills, ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Check all ammunition and ensure it matches customers’ order.
- Notify Shipping/Receiving Coordinators and other personnel of problems.
- Must be able to problem solve and create techniques to benefit shipping and receiving.
- Work as a team member with Shipping/Receiving Coordinators and Inspectors.
- Transport materials from storage into inspection area and then to shipping area.
- Properly recycle all cardboard and place in proper containers.
- Keep shipping and inspection areas clean and free from clutter.
- Accurately pull and pack all orders and inventory.
- Communicate with coordinator for production of needed parts.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Specifications/Qualifications:
- Experience – 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Education – High School diploma, GED, or graduate technical school.
- Responsibility – Carry out assigned duties while observing all safety regulations
- Complexity of duties – Attention to detail, good use of judgment.
- Supervision received – Direct oversight from Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
- Working conditions – Consistent noise, heat (Summer), cold (Winter), dusty environment. Mostly indoors.
- Mental and physical demands –
- Must have excellent attention to detail, good hand eye coordination and vision.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The job requires some squatting, kneeling, bending, for long periods of time.
- Sitting, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, speaking, listening, motor coordination skills
