We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in West Chester, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and oversight of wastewater systems and infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of wastewater projects, adhering to regulatory standards and environmental best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry-standard tools to create and modify designs.
- Conduct site assessments, surveys, and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
- Support permitting processes by preparing technical submittals and responding to regulatory inquiries.
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for wastewater projects.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to assess the capacity and performance of wastewater systems.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 5-10 years of experience in sewer and pump station design and engineering.
- Ability to obtain Part II (wastewater treatment) permits.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
