Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist
(SATURDAYS ONLY)
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform thorough oral hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical history and dental charting.
- Clean and remove plaque and calculus from teeth and along the gumline using dental instruments.
- Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized preventive care instructions.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants.
- Perform periodontal charting to assess and monitor gum health.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities.
- Manage patient recall system and schedule appointments for follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Adhere to all infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Dental Hygienist Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a dental hygienist role
- Proficiency in using dental software and technology
- Advanced knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Certification in administering local anesthesia
- Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with periodontal treatment procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with dental radiography
- Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
- Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
- Proficiency in using dental software and technology.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and periodontal disease.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other dental professionals.
- Detail-oriented approach to provide thorough patient care and document accurately.

- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $43.00 - $86.00 per hour
