Location: Dearborn, Michigan Company: Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper to support multiple locations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, accuracy, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities: - Process and track accounts payable and invoicing Perform A/R reconciliations - Prepare journal entries and reversing entries - Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts and locations - Process payroll accurately and on time - Write and track checks-Handle sales tax - Maintain inventory accuracy - Manage product ordering - Track marker and pre-need commissions- Maintain organized financial records - Identify and resolve discrepancies
Required Qualifications: - Bookkeeping or accounting experience -Strong QuickBooks knowledge Experience with reconciliations, payroll, and journal entries- Excellent attention to detail and organization - Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines
Preferred: - Associate's degree in accounting or related field - Experience with inventory, commissions, and multi-location businesses
