About the Internship
The Employee Benefits Sales Intern will support our Minneapolis Employee Benefits team in developing, marketing, and selling group insurance and benefits solutions to employer clients. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the employee benefits industry, sales processes, client relationships, and consulting fundamentals. It is ideal for students interested in sales, insurance, human resources, business development, or consulting.

The work location will be downtown Minneapolis, Monday through Thursday (32 hours/week), from June 1, 2026, through mid-August.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Assist sales team members with prospecting and lead generation activities
• Support preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials
• Conduct market and prospect research on industries, companies, and benefit trends
• Help organize and maintain CRM data, sales pipelines, and contact records
• Participate in client meetings, strategy discussions, and internal sales calls
• Collaborate with account managers and brokers to support new and existing business
• Assist with administrative tasks related to quoting, renewals, and onboarding
• Learn and help communicate employee benefits offerings such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
Learning Opportunities

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field
• Strong interest in sales, insurance, or employee benefits
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Professional demeanor and eagerness to learn • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills
• Prior internship, sales, customer service, or business experience
• Interest in insurance, HR consulting, or B2B sales
• CRM experience a plus
