Position Overview
The Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting Howden’s commercial insurance clients across the Northeast region. This role focuses on client service, retention, and operational excellence, ensuring that middle-market and corporate clients receive tailored insurance solutions and exceptional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Service & Retention
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned accounts.
- Handle policy renewals, endorsements, and coverage inquiries.
- Resolve client issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Operational Excellence
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and insurance program summaries.
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely issuance of policies and endorsements.
- Maintain accurate records in agency management systems.
- Collaboration
- Partner with Producers to support new business development and cross-selling opportunities.
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and service teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Market Knowledge
- Stay current on insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Provide insights to clients on emerging risks and coverage options.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management.
- Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance lines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Insurance designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM) preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000–$105,000
