What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at Howards Grove School District?
The Howards Grove School District is in need of two Special Education Classroom Aides/ Para Professionals for the 2022-2023 school year. This position will involve working at the high school under the guidance and direction of the special education teachers, therapists, and classroom teachers to assist in implementation of the students’ individual education plan (IEP). The candidate must also be willing to work with multiple students with various needs across grade levels in multiple classrooms with a variety of teachers and direct student activities in one-to-one and small group settings. This is a school year position, working Monday through Friday, when school is in session.
Successful candidates must possess the required DPI certification (Special Education Program Aide 22-883), along with a certification in non-violent crisis intervention (or must be willing to be trained).
