We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Heavy Duty Custodian for post-construction clean-up work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing newly constructed or renovated buildings to prepare them for occupancy or final inspection. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of heavy-duty cleaning equipment, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Post-Construction Cleaning:**
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all interior areas including floors, walls, windows, and ceilings.
  • Remove dust, debris, and construction materials from all surfaces, including light fixtures, HVAC vents, and baseboards.
  • Clean and polish all glass surfaces, including windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
  • Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, ensuring they are free from dirt, dust, and construction residues.
  • Ensure all newly installed fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, faucets) are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • **Heavy Duty Cleaning Equipment Usage:**
  • Operate and maintain heavy-duty cleaning machinery, such as industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers.
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and supplies, following all safety protocols.
  • **Trash Removal and Disposal:**
  • Remove all trash, construction waste, and debris from the premises.
  • Properly dispose of materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • **Final Touch-Ups:**
  • Perform a final walkthrough of the building to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard before handover.
  • Address any additional cleaning needs or requests from the client or supervisor.
  • **Safety Compliance:**
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • **Collaboration and Communication:**
  • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and other custodial staff to ensure the project is completed on time and to specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding the progress of the cleaning project.
