Housekeeper

Hotel housekeepers for Howard Johnson, Super 8, and Travelodge of Traverse City.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team! Our housekeeping staff plays a vital role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms according to hotel standards.
• Change bed linens and make beds neatly.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public areas.
• Restock towels, toiletries, coffee supplies, and other guest amenities.
• Report maintenance issues or damaged items to management.
• Remove trash and dirty linens from rooms.
• Ensure rooms are inspection-ready before guest arrival.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Assist with cleaning common areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
