Job Overview:

The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the manufacturer’s representative sales force who call on the electrical utility industries in his or her assigned region, including the following tasks:

  • Recommending manufacturer’s representative organizations to be selected to represent Howard Industries
  • Tracking and assessing performance
  • Liaison between manufacturer’s representatives and other departments within Howard Industries
  • Inside support of manufacturer’s representatives for marketing and sales initiatives
  • Joint participation with manufacturer’s representatives in various customer support activities, such as customer visits, presentations, entertainment, etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company at industry meetings and expositions
  • Host customers and manufacturer’s representatives who visit the factory
  • Supervisory responsibility for the inside sales organization assigned to his or her region
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Marketing
  • Provide liaison between customers and manufacturer’s representatives, and all departments within Howard Industries
  • Expect to travel at least 50% of the time to visit customers, trade shows, educational programs in his or her assigned region
  • Maintain and grow the account base through proper balance of maintenance and prospecting through in-person visits, phone calls, emails, etc.
  • Renew relationships with past customers to drive future business
  • Establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision makers
  • Close sales and overcome customer objections
  • Work with customers to understand their business issues and provide solutions to meet their needs (consultative selling)
  • Process quotes and special price requests using the company’s systems and pricing policy
  • Provide competitive review to update our features that will enhance our customer retention and satisfaction
  • Follow up on customers’ requests for assistance in order to establish a high standard of service
  • Incorporate company marketing efforts in the selling process so that customers experience a coherent corporate message


Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Outside Sales or Marketing Experience
  • Must be able to call on and develop relationships with customers
  • Corporate level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, official e-mailing, and computer skills, etc.
  • Presentable, courteous and pleasant personality
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency
  • Hardworking, sincere, honest, dedicated and self-achiever
  • Manage time effectively and profitability
