Portsmouth School Department is seeking to hire a full-year building substitute teacher at Hathaway Elementary School beginning
Oct. 1, 2026 through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
RIDE Certification is not required for this position. Minimum requirements are:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, hold an associates’ degree, or have completed a
minimum of two years college as part of a four-year degree track in any field
• Must complete a federal criminal background check
• Must provide three letters of reference
• Must attend a mandatory substitute meeting
