Role Description
The Pulmonary Function Technician will conduct diagnostic tests focused on assessing lung capacity, volume, and function. Responsibilities include administering various pulmonary function tests, maintaining equipment, recording accurate test results, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Columbia, MD.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Care
- Familiarity with medicine and its applications in respiratory care
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document patient results
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with patients and healthcare teams
- Certification or licensure as a Respiratory Therapy Technician or related qualification
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus
