| Summary | The Howard Community College Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for establishing a strength and conditioning program for all sports. The strength and conditioning coach plays an integral role in the performance of our sports programs and will be held to a high standard as it pertains to the execution of job specific tasks. The strength and conditioning coach will be goal oriented and assist each program in reducing non-contact injuries, measuring and improving performance as well as mentorship that will contribute towards team camaraderie. The strength and conditioning coach will consult with team coaches to develop pre-season, in-season and post season development plans that follow scientific principles. The strength and conditioning coach will meet regularly with athletic trainers to carry out return to play protocols as need be. The Strength and Conditioning coach will maintain a clean working space that is safe and effective. The strength and Conditioning coach will consult with the manager of fitness and recreation regularly on new concepts and ideas. |
