Howard City Veterinary Services is a privately owned, two-doctor small animal practice that takes pride in caring for our community’s dogs and cats like they’re our own. We focus on compassionate, high-quality medicine while building genuine relationships with both our clients and each other.
We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, takes pride in their work, and truly cares about their patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, and treatments
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate records
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
- Perform lab work including bloodwork, fecals, and urinalysis
- Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery
- Take and process radiographs
- Place and maintain IV catheters
- Safely and compassionately handle patients
- Educate clients on medications and preventive care
- Assist with dental procedures and cleanings
- Help keep the clinic clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Work closely with the team to provide the best care possible
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay organized and keep up in a busy clinic
- A kind, compassionate, and professional attitude
- Experience with anesthesia, lab work, or radiology is a bonus
