How to be Second is actively Matchmaking on behalf of a First in Command.


If you want to work side by side with a natural Visionary who has built the foundation of the business including a sales team, powerful customer list, has invested into themselves with an Implementer and Coaches, installed the EOS system, and is ready to work in tandem and grow together for the next several years in partnership with an Integrator who is a natural “Second”, this is the opportunity.


Full Time, On Site in Forest Lake, MN


About You

You’re a natural Second in Command ready to work alongside a First in Command where you can be a true thinking partner, supporting the execution of the plan that the decision making team comes up with, which you are part of.


You are familiar with the EOS system and have either been an Integrator running a company on the EOS system or have worked with (and continue to work with) coaches or Implementers who understand the EOS system and can vouch for you. Either way, you have been a Second in Command before.


You’ve taken small companies through multiple phases of growth before, so you know that you need to be a decision maker supporting recruiting and a growing team, and at the same time you understand that at this size company you write checks while sweeping the floor. There might be “better uses of your time”, but NOTHING is “Beneath you”.


You’re familiar with managing the finances and could sit in the head of finance function for a small company even if you wouldn’t consider yourself a financial expert, and it’s interesting to you that you’d be working with a coach to get you closer to “expert” level in this area. Making and reading financial documents is comfortable, working with customers in A/R, talking to the banker about the credit line (and doubling it, and justifying that doubling) are all things you’ve encountered before (even if you specifically didn’t spend every day doing those things).


You are dedicated to personal and professional development (one of our core values) - coaching is a joy and you have incredible energy for it, including investing in your own, and maintain or are planning to get a professional peer group and coach - it’s just part of how you move in the world; you understand the value of help from others and don’t assume anyone (including yourself) should rely on yourself for everything.

What is the role?

You will be the Integrator, as defined in the EOS system, with additional accountabilities, which are:

  • Financial Management
  • Operations
  • Back Office Management


As a company running on the EOS system, we are actively working with an EOS Implementer and our V/TO and Accountability Chart will be available for review to the right fit candidate.


Compensation

H2B2 Matchmaking has a different process for Comp: We take negotiation off the table.

We have already determined the Total Comp available with the First in Command.

Starting Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000


We require all potential Matchees to “Complete their Homework”, which includes letting us know what Comp you actually need. (You must decide for yourself)

If there is a match between the Comp available, and the Comp you need (Assuming all OTHER requirements of a Match are also met) then we will introduce you for a connection.

What you will achieve

The firm is currently 10 Staff with fractional and contract support, looking to grow to 20 FTE and fractional/contract support in the next 36 months.


In the First 30 Days

You will have established your weekly same page rhythm with the First in Command.

You will dive into the current company planning roadmap and partner with the leadership team to begin shouldering what you can to accomplish the current 90 day goals.

You will be up to speed on all the firm products, margin targets, and proven process at a high level.

You will have met the whole team and established 1-1 relationships with them.

You will have established your regular coaching scheduling with an outside coach.


In the First 90 Days

You will have familiarity with the entire team and understand your focus for the next 90 days. You will run the weekly L10 including prepping Scorecards and supporting IDSing.

You will be the primary POC for all major Finance and Operations questions.

You will set new 90 day rocks with the team during quarterly planning, and be looking forward to the annual.

You will have crafted at least a two scenario financial projection for the next 12 months planning against our margin targets


In the First 6 Months

You will be “Running the system”, and the team will know that, and be cool with it, because they know you

Have taken full accountability over Finance, HR, and Back Office

Supported the Visionary in adding a rockstar sales person to the team

Set up either level up plans for each person in the team or transition plans

Work with Pros to improve non-taxable company benefits plan

A/R 0% Past Due Net 60 on the way to Net45

Visionary has gotten his clarity breaks back, has at least 1 business day per week of "in a closet" time for himself

Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
