Project Manager - Home Construction

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Home Construction to lead residential building projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate all phases of construction, manage project teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality homes on schedule and within budget. Your expertise in construction management software, scheduling, and cost control will drive project success while maintaining safety standards and client satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of residential construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs using JobTread or similar construction estimating tools; implement cost management strategies to optimize resources.
• Utilize project management platform to monitor progress and update schedules regularly.
• Lead project teams on-site by managing construction schedules, coordinating subcontractor activities, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Review construction plans for accuracy and compliance with local regulations; ensure all work aligns with building codes and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality workmanship, safety compliance, and progress against project milestones.
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately; interpret technical drawings to guide construction activities effectively.
• Manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors; negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain detailed documentation including incident reports, change orders, progress reports, and project logs for transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex residential or commercial construction projects with a focus on home building.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes applicable to residential projects.
• Proficiency in construction scheduling tools such as JobTread or Microsoft Project; experience is highly desirable.
• Skilled in using construction estimating software; capable of managing project budgets effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Familiarity with contract management processes and negotiation strategies for procurement activities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating among diverse stakeholders including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements related to residential building projects.
