This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you’ll manage campaigns, strengthen donor relationships, and ensure every interaction reflects the impact of our mission.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Fundraising Campaign Execution
- Build, manage, and optimize email campaigns—segmenting audiences, automating journeys, and analyzing engagement to improve results
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute integrated fundraising campaigns
- Translate program impact into compelling donor-facing content that inspires giving
Deliver Accurate and Timely Donor Stewardship
- Process gifts with precision and ensure donors receive prompt, meaningful acknowledgements
- Create personalized donor communications including thank-you letters, impact reports, and campaign follow-ups
- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure data integrity in Raiser’s Edge
Coordinate Multi-Channel Engagement
- Oversee eCommerce and online giving tools, including campaign pages, event ticketing, and peer-to-peer fundraising
- Support fundraising events by managing guest lists, tracking RSVPs, and coordinating materials and recognition efforts
- Enhance web forms and donation experiences in collaboration with marketing
Strengthen Data, Reporting & Insights
- Generate reports to track campaign performance and inform strategy
- Conduct research on donors, trends, and best practices to improve outcomes
- Maintain compliance and reporting with charity watchdog and oversight organizations
Collaborate & Represent the Mission
- Work cross-functionally to gather insights and ensure consistent messaging and branding
- Support donor tours, board materials, and development initiatives
- Deliver excellent customer service to donors, volunteers, and the public

What You Bring
- Experience: 3 years in development, fundraising, marketing, or related field
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership mindset
- Collaborative, positive, team-oriented approach
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Familiarity with CRM databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and data reporting
- Passion for animal welfare and the Houston SPCA mission
- Comfortable working on-site with occasional evenings/weekends for events
