Development Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Full-time, on-site (occasional evenings/weekends)

What You’ll Do:

• In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our development efforts, ensuring smooth operations and meaningful donor engagement. Your day-to-day will include:
• Drive Donor Engagement: Build and manage email campaigns, segment audiences, and implement automation to maximize impact.
• Manage eCommerce & Events: Oversee online store functionality, event ticketing, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
• Coordinate Campaigns: Work with internal teams and external partners to create compelling appeals and donor communications.
• Ensure Accuracy: Process gifts, maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge, and generate reports to track fundraising success.
• Support Fundraising Events: Assist with logistics, RSVPs, and donor recognition at events.
• Research & Innovate: Stay informed on fundraising trends and help shape strategies that keep us ahead.
• Champion Our Brand: Ensure consistency in messaging and uphold the values of Houston SPCA in every interaction.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 3 years of professional experience in development, marketing, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
• Strong writing, proofreading, and project management skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and work occasional evenings/weekends.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and insurability under our auto policy.
