What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Graphics & Sign Installer position at Houston Sign Company?
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Installer to join our production team. This position is responsible for installing a variety of commercial graphics and signage, including vehicle graphics, wall wraps, lobby signs, decals, banners, and wayfinding graphics.
When installation work is slow, you’ll also work alongside our production team helping with finishing, packaging, fabrication, shop organization, and general production tasks.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, shows up consistently, and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever they’re needed.
What You'll Do
- Install vehicle graphics, decals, and wraps
- Install wall graphics and wall wraps
- Install lobby and interior signage
- Install wayfinding signs, banners, and other commercial graphics
- Measure and prepare installation areas
- Properly clean and prepare surfaces before installation
- Apply vinyl and graphics with a professional, clean finish
- Remove existing graphics when needed
- Safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic installation equipment
- Travel locally to customer locations and job sites
- Load, transport, and unload graphics and installation materials
- Assist with finishing, trimming, mounting, packaging, and other production work when installations are slow
- Help maintain a clean, organized shop and installation equipment
- Work with the production and project management teams to make sure jobs are completed correctly and on schedule
What We're Looking for
- Previous experience installing vehicle graphics, vinyl, wall graphics, or commercial signage
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable working with vinyl and application tools
- Able to read measurements and follow installation instructions
- Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical work
- Able to lift and move materials and finished signage
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work independently while also being a team player
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to help with production and shop duties when needed
The Right Person
We're a busy commercial sign and graphics company, and every day can look a little different. Some days you'll be out installing a vehicle fleet or wall graphics at a customer's location. Other days you'll be in the shop helping finish and prepare jobs for the next day's installations.

Schedule
Full-time | Monday–Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Typical hours are during normal business hours, with occasional early starts, later days, or schedule adjustments depending on installation requirements.
