What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Relations Internship (Summer / Fall 2025) position at Houston SaberCats?
Description:
The Community Relations Intern will be responsible for assisting the Director of Community Relations with a variety of tasks and activities on-site at SaberCats Stadiums and offsite events.
Duties Include:
- Assist in the coordination of all Community Relations events;
- Assist the Director of Community Relations with tasks including, but not limited to, emails, inbound and outbound calls, event planning, positive customer/client service, and school visits.
- Working alongside the ticketing department to Identify possible groups for ticket sales (Commission to be discussed)
- Providing marketing ideas to grow the game of rugby and the SaberCats brand
- Promote a positive fan experience and work as a part of a creative team.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in a related field such as Sports Management, Communications/Community Relations, or related preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Professional appearance and positive attitude as well as demonstrating initiative;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to meet deadlines as they are presented and be detail-orientated;
- Possess computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Software
- Reliable Transportation.
