General Surgeon Opportunity (Acute) - Houston Methodist Baytown

Houston Methodist Baytown is seeking anGeneral Surgeon to join its expanding practice of 4 physicians. Located just 24 miles from downtown Houston, this is an excellent opportunity to join the #1 Hospital System in TX and the areas only full-service hospital specializing in medical care for patients at every stage in life.

Primary focus on unplanned and urgent general surgery, including:

• Emergency general surgery (EGS):

  • Acute appendicitis

  • Cholecystitis

  • Small bowel obstruction

  • Perforated viscus

  • GI bleeding requiring operative intervention

• Soft tissue infections and abscesses

• Hernias (urgent/emergent)

Opportunity Highlights

• Multidisciplinary collaboration with ED, hospitalists, ICU, anesthesia, radiology, and nursing

• APP Support

• Shared call rotation

Qualifications:

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.

• Candidates with experience or new residents/fellows are welcome to apply.
