What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Unit Coordinator - Labor & Delivery position at HOUSTON MEDICAL CENTER?
Work Shift
7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am (As Needed Basis)
Responsible for bed assignment for admission of patients in assigned area. Maintains up-to-date medical records and order entry on all patients on the unit. Performs clerical and receptionist duties. Performs other patient comfort duties needed to maintain the flow of patient care within the system. Is responsible for carrying the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of Emory Healthcare.
Education & Training
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
One (1) year clerical experience or six (6) months experience as Houston
Healthcare Patient Care Technician.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment.
