What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal, Office Clerk position at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo?
HLSR is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, showcases Western heritage and provides year-round educational support within the community.
Since its beginning in 1932, the Rodeo has committed more than $630 million to the youth of Texas and education through scholarships, educational grants, graduate assistantships, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Position involves extensive customer service (in person and by phone), computer data entry, and filing. Must have at least two years of customer service experience and excellent data entry skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment and be able to efficiently switch between multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with staff and volunteers, and superior customer service attributes are required. Must be able to work in an organized manner and be available to work a flexible schedule. Oracle experience helpful but not required.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
This is a seasonal position and the longest possible duration is to the conclusion of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo annual event. Scheduled hours may be variable, and the position may end prior to the completion of the event based on changing workload demands.
Membership office hours per day and the number of work days per week increase as we move closer to our annual event. As a result, this position requires full availability and a willingness to work flexible hours that include evenings and weekends.
