Usher
SUMMARY
Ushers welcome guests and direct them to their seats. They check tickets, provide audience members with programs, and tend to their comfort and safety. They also assist audience members in finding the restrooms, food and beverage facilities, and exits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner.

Check and scan tickets and direct guests to their seats.

Distribute programs, brochures, and other materials.

Inform guests about location of restrooms, refreshments, and exits.

Tend to guests’ comfort and assist them with any questions or concerns.

Assist guests with disabilities or other impairments, as needed.

Monitor guests’ activity to ensure the safety of the event.

Enforce event rules and relevant health and safety regulations.

Ensure that the lobby and facilities are neat and organized.

Follow all emergency procedures and guide audience members to exits in an orderly manner.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.

Experience as an usher or similar preferred.
