What will I be doing?
The Lead Procurement Coordinator performs advanced purchasing and procurement work for the acquisition of goods and services in compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures, and best practices. This position requires deep knowledge of public procurement practices, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to lead complex procurements.
ü High-level management and oversight of agency procurement activities utilizing varied best practice procurement methods, with a large focus on the Request for Proposal method
ü Review and/or develop specifications/scope of work for agency solicitations
ü Develop complex requests for proposals and other solicitations and manage the solicitation through contract award
ü Be the subject matter expert of the procurement process and ensure compliance with internal and external procurement policy, procedure, and regulations
ü Collaborates in the evaluation and improvement of procurement procedures when necessary.
ü Perform Other Related Duties As Required/assigned
Do you have…
ü Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
ü 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
Preferred Qualifications
ü Experience in public procurement or local government
ü Familiarity with RFP, RFQ, and IFB processes
ü Experience handling requisitions and purchase orders
