What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Houston Eye Associates?
LOCATION: 2855 Gramercy St. Houston, TX 77025 Some travel may be required to satellite locations as needed.
Social Media & Content
- Manage HEA's social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn — content calendar, posting, and community engagement.
- Partner with clinic locations to capture location-specific content, provider features, and patient stories.
- Create original graphics, reels, short-form videos, and static posts using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Monitor performance analytics and adjust strategy based on engagement, reach, and conversion data.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and healthcare/retail marketing best practices.
Optical Retail Marketing
- Partner with the optical team on branding, promotional campaigns, and frame line launches.
- Develop in-store signage, point-of-sale materials, social content, and digital promotions to drive optical sales.
- Coordinate seasonal and trunk show promotions across optical locations.
- Support brand consistency between the medical practice and the optical retail experience.
Creative & Print Production
- Design and produce in-house marketing collateral — flyers, brochures, signage, patient education pieces, and event materials.
- Maintain brand standards across all printed and digital assets.
- Manage print vendor relationships, proofs, production timelines, and distribution to clinic locations.
- Build and refine reusable templates for organization-wide use.
Digital, Web & Vendor Management
- Serve as the internal point of contact for the company website and external web vendors; coordinate updates, content additions, and provider page changes.
- Partner with digital vendors on geofencing, paid social, display, and other digital advertising campaigns.
- Support SEO and SEM efforts and monitor performance across digital channels.
- Maintain accurate online listings, directories, and review platforms across all clinic and optical locations.
Strategy & Reporting
- Contribute to overall marketing strategy, campaigns, and annual planning alongside leadership.
- Partner with clinic-level staff across locations to roll out marketing initiatives consistently.
- Track campaign performance and prepare clear, structured reporting for the executive team.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen HEA's market position and patient and customer engagement.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Three to five years of marketing experience with a strong social media and digital content portfolio. Demonstrated graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools. Experience creating short-form video content and reels. Comfortable managing vendor relationships and external creative and digital partners. Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple concurrent initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Healthcare, optical, or multi-location retail marketing experience preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant marketing practices preferred. Working knowledge of geofencing, SEM/SEO, paid social, and digital advertising platforms preferred. Experience with website CMS platforms such as WordPress preferred. Photography and basic video editing skills preferred.
