Contract Duration
- Coaching contracts last for one school year, at which time they may be renewed by the building principal and/or athletic director.
- Coaches are expected to perform their duties and schedule practices and contests in accordance with the best interests of the student-athletes and guidelines from relevant governing bodies.
Compensation
Supplemental contracts provide a percentage increase to the employee's base salary or a flat salary for non-employees. Contact the building principal or athletic director for more information.
Minimum Requirements
Preferred
- Be a current employee in good standing in the HCSD
- Possess relevant experience in the sport
Other Requirements
- Be able to learn and follow all applicable policies from all relevant governing bodies
- Effectively and ethically carry out coaching duties assigned by the head coach
- Establish and maintain high standards for academic achievement, attendance, and behavior for student-athletes
Job Description
Houston County High School seeks an Assistant Boys' Basketball Coach. This is a compensated position.
