Description The Houston County Highway Department is seeking interested applicants to fill a temporary/seasonal position for the summer of 2026. This position will provide assistance to the highway construction staff with surveying and engineering technician work. Typical tasks will include construction staking, topographic surveying, and inspection assistance.
Work will include physical labor to install lath and hubs and will be conducted in the field with exposure to adverse weather conditions. Education and Experience High school diploma/GED preferred Valid driver's license Other Pre-Employment Standards/Requirements Pass a criminal history background check Hourly wage for this position is $17.50 per hour.
