- Conduct screenings, prepare written screening reports and use screening protocols developed by the supervising OT.
- Provide direct treatment to patients by following documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising OT.
- Review patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, and precautions/contraindications.
- Instruct patients on in-home exercise programs, transfer training, positioning, and safety issues to carry over treatment goals.
- Adhere to all related regulations regarding patient confidentiality recordkeeping.
- Maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Adhere to billing compliance standards.
- Maintain state Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant licensure, CEU’s, CPR training, and any other requirements up to date.
- Maintain a positive and professional image at all times.
- Document date, time treatment applied at each session objectively in electronic documentation systems such as progression, regression of functional abilities, or any adverse responses noted during the session within 24 hours of completed sessions.
- Communicate with other professionals information as appropriate to update the plan of care for the patient, coordinate services, or report adverse responses to treatment.
- Make referrals to appropriate professionals, support groups, and other services as needed.
- Report to work at the designated appointment time and coordinate schedules to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of and other local, state, and federal guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
