Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver to join our construction team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery and commercial trucks on construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction environments, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision, safety, and technical expertise.
Duties
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Drive commercial trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and other specialized vehicles like concrete mixers and farm machinery to transport materials between sites.
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and site cleanup.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with concrete mixers, water trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, farm machinery, or similar equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site logistics.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads as required.
