As the lead agency for the HUD-funded Tulsa County Continuum of Care, we are dedicated to uniting local organizations and stakeholders to deliver essential services and create sustainable housing solutions. Your day as a Director of Continuum of Care Programs

The Director of Continuum of Care Programs at Housing Solutions Tulsa plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission to combat homelessness in the community. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this leadership position collaborates closely with the organization’s leadership team and the Leadership Council of A Way Home for Tulsa. The Director is responsible for implementing the CoC’s strategic plan and managing the annual HUD Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (CoC NOFO) competition.

Key responsibilities include guiding community service providers to adopt best practice models, supporting program evaluation and partnership management, and overseeing the submission of the HUD Continuum of Care Program application. With 2-6 direct reports, the Director will lead efforts to integrate behavioral health services and enhance service delivery for individuals experiencing homelessness. This expert-level position demands strong leadership, compliance with the HEARTH Act, and the ability to foster stakeholder relationships, ensuring the Continuum of Care effectively meets community needs.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills are crucial for engaging with various stakeholders and presenting information in multiple formats. Proficiency with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel) is also necessary to streamline operations and enhance collaboration across teams.

Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required—LCSW, MBA, MSW, MPA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience and demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team. Management experience in a nonprofit setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of the homelessness field including funding streams, population-specific needs, planning efforts, Continuum of Care practice, and housing and service models.
  • Experience working with HUD programs and management of HUD grants.
  • Effective project management experience and the ability to develop and monitor measurements of success.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in a variety of formats, venues, and with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
  • Must live within commutable distance to Tulsa, OK.
