What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Maintenance Team Technician position at Housing Initiatives, Inc?
Housing Initiatives is looking for someone who wants to put their skills to work in support of some of our community's most vulnerable people. Our agency is mission-driven to provide housing and support to those who face the greatest barriers to housing. We own and operate over 30 smaller residential properties across Madison. Our approach is decidedly more residential in scale, but provides many opportunities for project management and skill development in many technical aspects of housing.
The Property Maintenance Technician will work as part of a small team and independently to address a wide variety of maintenance tasks. Maintenance staff work in concert with supportive service and property management staff as part of an integrated team approach. Work will generally be performed on small scale houses, duplexes and 4-plexes located throughout Madison neighborhoods.
Housing Initiatives is growth and development oriented; we expect to break ground on a new facility yet this year, with additional projects envisioned for the future. The organization seeks to set the standard in excellence of supportive housing.
Strong skills & experience in one or more fields is desired but not required. This position could be for the relative newcomer or the seasoned professional, with compensation accordingly. The agency offers opportunities for growth, management, and specialized skill development. Excellent benefit package also included.
