The Sponsorship & Events Manager will play an integral role in supporting the Association’s events and sponsorship efforts, ensuring all deliverables are met and that members and sponsors receive excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sponsorship & Non-Dues Revenue Generation
· Solicit sponsorships for events and programs.
· Foster sponsor relationships and ensure fulfillment of all sponsorship deliverables, including registration, ticketing, and on-site recognition.
· Develop and manage sponsorship packages, prepare sponsor meetings, and coordinate contracts for review by the Executive Officer.
· Finalize sponsorship agreements and assist in billing packages promptly and accurately.
· Track sponsorship revenue and report progress toward budget goals.
· Meet or exceed annual sponsorship and membership revenue goals.
· Create and manage timelines, task lists, and programs for all event sponsors.
· Ensure branding consistency across sponsorship materials, recognition, and internal marketing.
· Contribute creative ideas to enhance sponsorship opportunities and offset event costs.
· Support planning and logistics for the Parade of Homes Committee and other Association initiatives as directed.
Event Planning & Support
- Plan, coordinate, and execute core member and networking events, including quarterly networking events, Party on the Patio, and the Holiday Party, under the oversight of the Membership & Events Director.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, book venues, arrange food and beverage, coordinate décor, audiovisual, travel, and supplies within event budgets.
- Conduct post-event follow-up with sponsors, vendors, and attendees.
- Support planning and logistics for the Membership Events Committee, including notetaking, tracking action items, and communicating updates to the Membership & Events Director.
- Assist the Membership & Events Director during all member events.
Financial & Administrative Assistance
- Post-event invoicing to sponsors and event attendees.
· Provide accurate and timely progress and post-event reports to the Membership & Events Director, ensuring data integrity across budgets, invoices, and sponsorship tracking tools.
Marketing and Communications
- Assist with HBA social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Promote membership, events, and sponsorship opportunities through digital and print channels.
- Follow all brand and communication strategies for members, committees, and staff.
- Develop and distribute event promotional materials and marketing collateral, including on-site sponsorship recognition.
· Ensure timely and accurate recognition of sponsors across digital, print, and on-site channels.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Report directly to the Membership & Events Director and actively support departmental goals and initiatives.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors.
· Contribute to a creative, mission-driven, team-oriented culture.
· Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and enthusiasm in representing the Association at events and within the community.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· 2 years of experience in event coordination, association management, marketing, or hospitality.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on relationship building.
· Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM and event registration software preferred.
· Experience with event management software such as Eventbrite, Constant Contact, or comparable tools.
· Familiarity with social media marketing and event promotion.
· Understanding of or interest in the housing and building industry.
Qualifications and Physical Demands
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in event or project management will be considered.
· Ability to lift/move 15–25 pounds as needed.
· Ability to be on feet for several hours during events.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent in-person interaction.
· Some evening or weekend hours required for events.
· Ability to travel locally for off-site meetings and events as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Starting Range: $57,860-63,000. Full-time, salaried, non-exempt position. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Work Location
The nature and responsibilities of this position are such that the position requires full-time, in-office hours. The position will be based at the Association’s business office in Colorado Springs, CO USA, with the expectation that the employee will reside in and commute from El Paso, Pueblo or Teller County, CO USA.
