Nature of Work & Essential Functions:
- Works in partnership with residents and advocates within the public housing community.
- Assist the Department Head to develop and promote community relations & opportunities.
- Represents the Authority at community meetings.
- Works on behalf of Director(s) to develop community relations, plans and promote new and ongoing initiatives.
- Collaborates and coordinates with other operating units as needed.
- Perform other related job functions as needed.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment or out in the field in Community settings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or walk.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work or related field.
Experience: 3 years of responsible experience in community work; Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Special Requirement: Possess a valid appropriate California Class C driver's license.
