What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Housing Authority of the City of Key West?
- Bathrooms: Scrub sinks and toilets. Clean mirrors. Clean and disinfect counters, sink knobs, and door knobs. Remove all debris from floors and wet mop. Empty trash cans and recyclables and transfer to disposal areas. Sanitize all trash receptacles. Check and refill dispensers with paper and soap products, as needed.
- Breakrooms and kitchenettes: Clean and disinfect counters, sinks, tables, chairs, and microwaves & toaster oven. Wipe down refrigerators and disinfect handles. Sweep/vacuum floor and wet mop. Empty trash cans and recyclables and transfer to disposal areas. Sanitize all trash receptacles.
- Laundry Room: Wipe down machines. Empty all lint filters. Remove debris from floors and wet mop. Empty trash cans and recyclables and transfer to disposal areas. Sanitize all trash receptacles.
- Conference Room (only on designated days in preparation for board meetings once every 2 months): Wipe down woodwork, tables, baseboards, etc. Vacuum floors. Empty trash cans and recyclables and transfer to disposal areas. Sanitize all trash receptacles.
- Offices, Lobby, Copier Room, Classroom/Computer Lab: Dust/clean all surfaces of furniture. Clean all glass near or in the lobby, including the front door. Remove debris from floors and either vacuum or wet mop. Empty trash cans and recyclables and transfer to disposal areas. Sanitize all trash receptacles.
