We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities. The Custodian will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, including commercial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
- Assist with porter duties, ensuring that common areas are tidy and organized.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as required to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
