Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks including landscape maintenance, tree care, and seasonal activities such as snow plowing. The Groundskeeper will ensure that all grounds are kept in excellent condition, contributing to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging of lawns.
- Conduct tree trimming and care to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Manage snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safe access to facilities.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment effectively.
- Dig and prepare garden beds for planting, ensuring proper soil conditions.
- Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as part of ongoing landscaping projects.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris and litter regularly.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues to management promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with tree care practices and equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping tools and machinery.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and operating heavy equipment.
- A keen eye for detail with a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles on-site.
