POSITION SUMMARY, a growing national company, seeks individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, and personable and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough, quality home inspection and detailed report. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to move to full-time
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications. The ideal candidate stays current on the latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
- Travel to home inspection site-Marietta, Smyrna, Atlanta, and surrounding counties
- Conduct detailed inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and identify any structural or safety issues.
- Inspect all home elements and systems.
- Collect data during inspections and document findings in clear, concise reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of home inspection experience required
- Home Inspector certification required-InterNachi or ASHI preferred
- Other home inspection certification, construction, real estate, or home repair experience a plus
- Strong understanding of building codes, laws, and government regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree/Construction Degree a plus
- Knowledgeable Microsoft 365 apps and report writing software. HomeGauge a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other
- Reliable transportation
