Weekday Companion

Job Title: Full-Time Companion (Day & Evening Shifts)
Location: Eagleville, PA
Rate: $30/hour
Schedule:

• Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  (Candidates may apply for either shift)

Overview:
We are seeking two compassionate, calm, and reliable companions to provide full-time support for an independent 91-year-old woman who requires assistance with daily living. This role is supported by the woman’s three involved daughters, who prepare and drop off dinners, handle grocery shopping, and take her to appointments. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

• Prepare or assist with breakfast and lunch; reheat dinners provided by family

• Encourage and assist with daily stretching exercises

• Engage in mental stimulation activities such as Sudoku, reading the newspaper, or other light hobbies

• Ensure a calm, structured daily routine

• Light tidying to support household cleanliness (housekeeper comes a few days per week)

• Communicate with family as needed about observations or changes in condition

What We're Looking For:

• A patient, kind, and calm demeanor—someone gentle and observant rather than overly talkative

• Prior experience with elderly care and familiarity with ADLs

• Ability to follow a routine and encourage light physical and mental activity

• A team player who can work cooperatively with family members and other caregivers
