Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the housekeeping team (5 part-time housekeepers), ensuring all shifts are adequately staffed and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Develop and maintain weekly schedules for housekeepers, ensuring timely turnover of daily checklists and adherence to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual task schedules.
- Cover shifts as needed, demonstrating a willingness to step in and assist when necessary.
- Continuously update organizational systems, including task coordination, to accommodate changing situations.
- Effectively communicate changes, announcements, and coordination to the entire housekeeping team.
- Maintain the "rhythm of the home", working collaboratively with the Personal Assistant to ensure a seamless workflow within the household, and Property Manager (i.e. during any construction or renovations that may be happening, which the Property Manager oversees), as needed for coordination.
- Demonstrate discretion and the ability to be both present and discreet as needed.
- Must love animals!
- Willing to work weekends.
- Availability to spend the summer in the Hamptons.
- Ensure smooth transitions between locations (Florida and Hamptons).
- Exhibit strong housekeeping experience and the ability to perform tasks to understand time requirements.
- Train and manage workers to ensure efficiency, consistency, and understanding of the household's preferences.
- Maintain a friendly and happy home atmosphere while effectively managing tasks in alignment with the couple's preferences.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping and managing a team of workers.
- Fluency in English.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relating well to different personalities.
- Experience training others to ensure efficiency and consistency in their work.
- Ability to exemplify and maintain discretion and quiet within the home.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Adaptability to changing situations.
- Willingness to perform tasks of subordinates when necessary.
- Comfortable working in a non-formal, yet detail-oriented environment.
