Duties
- Provide attentive and compassionate care, ensuring children's safety at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities to promote learning and development.
- Foster a creative and stimulating environment by engaging children in arts, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, feeding, and cleaning up after meals.
- Help establish healthy sleep routines, including bedtime storytelling and creating a comforting nighttime atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area to encourage a healthy environment.
- Implement first aid measures when necessary and maintain a first aid kit for emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or nannying is preferred, with a focus on toddler care and preschool education.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with meal preparation for children of various ages.
- Experience working with twins is a plus.
- A nurturing attitude combined with strong communication skills is essential for building trust with both children and parents.
- Experience working with diverse family dynamics and adapting to children’s unique needs is a plus.
Job Details
- Job Type: Part-time, Contract
- Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Expected Hours: 15 – 25 per week
Schedule
- Alternating schedule for May
- Flexible hours during summer months
- Bi-weekly schedule resumes when school begins
- Availability every other Saturday
"The schedule will alternate throughout the month of May, transition to a more flexible arrangement during summer, and return to a bi-weekly schedule once the school year begins. Additionally, availability every other Saturday is required."
