Duties
- Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to workplace safety regulations
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of tasks like framing, tile laying,drywall, and flooring installation
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris, organizing materials, and ensuring safety protocol adherence at all times
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, drywall, tile, flooring and restoration work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint specification interpretation is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, tape measure and saws for cutting
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence is essential
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work on-site for extended periods in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with supervisors and tradespeople
