Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wok Chef to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking Chinese and teriyaki dishes with a focus on wok techniques, ensuring every plate meets our standards of flavor, presentation, and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese and teriyaki dishes using wok cooking techniques, ensuring consistency and quality
- Execute menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness of the wok station, utensils, and work area in compliance with health regulations
- Work with kitchen staff ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Adhere to all food handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste
- Unloading, loading, and storage restaurant supplies and ingredients
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Keep stations clean and organized
Requirements
- Proven experience in a restaurant kitchen, particularly with wok cooking and/or Asian cuisine preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Excellent food service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with restaurant or food industry operations, including meal preparation and food presentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots or ingredients, and work in a fast-paced setting
Pay: From $4,000.00 per month
