Job Title: Hourly Payroll Clerk

Reports To: Controller / Accounting Manager
Position Summary
The Hourly Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing weekly payroll for approximately 1,000 hourly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strict adherence to deadlines, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for ~1,000 hourly employees using ADP
- Review and validate timekeeping data, pay codes, and system-generated calculations (including overtime, deductions, and adjustments in ADP)
- Ensure payroll data is accurate and complete prior to final submission
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, missed punches, or pay issues
- Meet strict weekly payroll deadlines without exception
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Partner with Supervisors, Managers, and operations to ensure accurate employee and time data for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shifts
- Respond to employee payroll questions and concerns
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience required
- Experience with ADP payroll systems strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and compliance
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
