Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our gr home for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in long-term care settings, and a compassionate approach to resident care. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with care plans, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents with diverse needs. The Residential House Manager will play a vital role in fostering a high-quality living experience for our residents while ensuring operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff members.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with healthcare regulations and resident needs
- Manage resident admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments to ensure quality of care
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to group home operations
- Oversee resource allocation, and inventory management to ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Lead staff training programs
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and coordinate communication regarding care updates and concerns
- Ensure a safe environment by conducting regular safety audits and implementing necessary improvements
- Manage day-to-day operations including scheduling, staffing levels, and facility maintenance
Experience
- Proven management experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes
- Extensive background in group home, long-term care management, or home & community care services
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to medication administration and resident safety
- Strong understanding of care planning processes and resident rights within group home settings
- Experience in operations management within home care settings is highly desirable
