Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and attention to detail
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail designs or treatments based on color theory and current trends
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and workstations to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a positive experience, addressing client questions, and upselling additional services or retail products such as nail care accessories or skincare items
- Stay updated on the latest nail techniques, trends, and industry innovations like gel polish application or nail enhancements
- Assist with retail sales by educating clients about products that support nail health and overall beauty routines
- Support the team with maintaining a clean, organized workspace that adheres to health regulations and salon standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nail Technician or similar role within a salon or spa environment
- Knowledge of color theory to help clients choose complementary shades and designs
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and safety protocols for hygiene compliance
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Basic understanding of cosmetology principles related to nail care, skin health, and body aesthetics
- Experience with advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatment, hair threading, or barbering is a plus but not required
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Retail math skills for managing product inventory and sales transactions effectively
