This role involves spearheading creative direction and project management, overseeing design teams to deliver innovative and exceptional interior design solutions. With expertise in conceptualization and client collaboration, the Lead Designer ensures projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and creativity.


Job requirements, skills and experience:


Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in interior design, with a proven track record of leading design projects from concept to completion.

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing a design team and collaborating with other departments.

• Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.

• Extensive knowledge of design principles, space planning, construction documentation, and building codes.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients, team members, and

stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative design solutions that meet client objectives, budget constraints, and project

timelines.

• Proven experience in client relationship management, including conducting meetings, presentations, and managing client

expectations.

• Leadership qualities such as mentorship, delegation, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring quality and

consistency in design deliverables.


Skills:

• Conceptual design development and visualization, including sketching and rendering.

• Proficiency in creating detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D models.

• Expertise in selecting and specifying furniture, finishes, materials, and fixtures.

• In-depth knowledge of color theory, lighting design, textiles, and interior styling.

• Ability to lead and inspire a design team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking to overcome design challenges and meet project objectives.

• Experience with project management software for scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

• Advanced understanding of sustainable design practices and principles.

• Negotiation skills for vendor contracts, pricing, and procurement of materials and furnishings.

• Continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in interior design.


Experience:

• Extensive portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects across various sectors, such as residential, commercial,

hospitality, or healthcare.

• Previous experience leading design teams and managing projects of varying scales and complexities.

• Successful completion of projects within budgetary constraints and meeting or exceeding client expectations.

• Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals throughout the design and construction

process.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships, resulting in repeat business and referrals.

• Participation in professional development activities such as workshops, conferences, or certifications to enhance skills and

knowledge.

• Recognition or awards for design excellence and contributions to the field of interior design.

• Strong portfolio of completed projects with testimonials or references from satisfied clients and colleagues.


Compensation: $40-50 per hour, based on experience
