Duties

• Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes with precision, consistency, and flair, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through efficient food production practices
• Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
• Oversee food service operations during shifts, coordinating with front-of-house teams to deliver excellent customer service
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and refining existing recipes to enhance flavor profiles and presentation
• Lead catering and banquet food preparations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for large events or special occasions

Skills

• Extensive experience in Chinese cuisine with a strong foundation in traditional cooking techniques
• Proven supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment
• Background in banquet, catering, fine dining, and restaurant management settings
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and hygiene regulations within the food industry
• Skilled in inventory management, cost control, and food handling to optimize kitchen operations
• Demonstrated leadership in managing shifts, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of hospitality
• Strong understanding of menu planning, food production processes, and culinary innovation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and ensure smooth kitchen workflow
