House of Guinness is a family-run pub in downtown Waukesha where we provide exceptional service in a classic pub atmosphere. We're passionate about hospitality, classic cocktails, whiskey, and beer.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced bartender to join our small team part-time. You'll have regular hours in a welcoming environment where many shifts are solo, giving you the opportunity to run the bar independently and build up your roster of regular guests. On busy Friday and Saturday nights, team members work together to ensure exceptional service. We guarantee all staff earn at least $15/hour after tips, even on the quietest night.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service in our intimate pub setting
- Prepare classic cocktails, pour beers, and engage with guests
- Maintain a clean and well-organized bar throughout your shift
- Complete required sidework during each shift
- Properly date and label all perishable products
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Requirements
- Valid bartender license from the City of Waukesha (required at time of application)
- Ability to work independently during solo shifts
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for hospitality and guest engagement
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for beer, wine, and spirits
- Experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate
- Consistent weekend availability a must
