Reports To: Program Director / Lead Teacher Full-timePosition SummaryThe Early Childhood Teacher for the Infant–Toddler Program is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. This role supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through responsive caregiving and intentional curriculum implementation. The teacher collaborates with families and colleagues to ensure high-quality care aligned with program philosophy, licensing regulations, and best practices in early childhood education.Key ResponsibilitiesChild Development & CurriculumPlan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with established curriculum frameworks .Support infants’ and toddlers’ learning through responsive interactions, sensory experiences, language-rich environments, and play-based exploration.Observe, document, and assess children’s development to inform planning and communicate progress to families.Create daily routines that promote security, independence, and consistency (feeding, diapering, napping, transitions).Health, Safety & SupervisionMaintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.Follow all state licensing guidelines and program policies regarding supervision, sanitation, and health procedures.Implement safe sleep practices, proper diapering/handwashing techniques, and emergency protocols.Ensure appropriate ratios and constant visual supervision at all times.
