Job Description
Procedural Services are currently looking to staff the Deputy Principal Clerk (without Table Duty) position.
Deputy Principal Clerks act as first-line managers in overseeing the work of the various Branches within Procedural Services (overseeing units responsible for the Chamber, Committees, International and Interparliamentary Affairs and Parliamentary Information), including hiring professional and support staff, engaging in collective bargaining, and ensuring training opportunities and the professional development of their teams. You will also be responsible for providing expert information, advice and administrative, research and logistical support services related to parliamentary and legislative activities.

Qualifications
Education:
- A degree from a recognized university in political science, law, social sciences or a related field, or an acceptable combination of post-secondary education, training and experience.
Experience:
- Significant experience providing advice on parliamentary procedure and practices and providing support to parliamentary activities;
- Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects involving multiple partners.
Asset:
- Supervisory experience.
